About Arachnida World

I used to squish spiders until I got my camera. These guys are actually good for the home keeping such pests as silverfish and woodlice under control. They may seem scary but they do have a beauty about them. Don’t squish them, photograph them, get to understand them, learn.................. not kill.
THE GROUPS AIMS
The aims of this group are simple.
1) Identify/ photograph and chart the locations of as many species of Arachnida.
2) To chart the progress of any non indigenous species encountered within any group members area.
3) To identify any decline of indigenous species within any group members area.
4) Most importantly to promote the class Arachnida by educating people on how amazing these creatures can be.
5) To produce some truly amazing photographs.
I know point 3 will be particularly difficult to achieve but as time goes on I hope our knowledge, especially of species local to each of us will help achieve this.
THE RULES.
These are simple.
ANY photograph posted into the group pool, or any part of the group flickr HAS to be taken by a group member. NO photographs 'cribbed' from publications or the internet are permitted unless passed by admin.
Any member wishing to post a photograph NOT taken by themselves HAS to ask admin before posting, giving a valid reason for wanting to post said picture. Any pictures not taken by a group member and passed for submission by admin have to have the original photographers’ permission to do so. In all such cases the original photographer HAS to be credited for the photograph.
The use of a fellow group members photographs without permission is strictly forbidden.
This group is open to anyone as long as they deal solely with the class Arachnida which includes spiders, ticks, mites, scorpions and daddy longlegs.
Members are limited to five (5) pictures per day.
To help achieve the groups aims when posting a picture please try putting the location of where the picture was taken.
That’s it really.
If you think I have missed anything out please feel free to let me know.
