About Ethical Capture

Ethics are not rules. Ethics are about the ways in which we act in the world. They are open to debate and scrutiny. The call to be “ethical” appears to involve a practice of deliberation, reflection and practice. In a complex and often highly instrumental society, being ethical can involve overlapping demands and perhaps place a person in conflict with society or with others.

I'd suggest that this group might a place for pictures that reflect all of these aspects. Your photograph might want to ask us to reflect on what it is to be ethical. Your photograph might depict an ethical practice. Or your photograph might reveal the difficulties of being ethical given the complex and often contradictory nature of social life. Your photograph might show us something that you consider to be unethical. Your picture might challenge our notion of the good, or it could simply show what it you think the good might consist of…
