Celebrating a life of womanhood: images of women that represent what it is to be female from all walks of life, all shapes and sizes; from birth through childhood, to motherhood, the golden years, and beyond...
NO NUDITY, no erotica, and definitely no porn (there are plenty of other FLICKR groups for that sort of thing). SOME borderline artistic/natural nudity is sometimes ok, but we will remove photos unacceptable or unworthy. NO VULGAR NUDITY or inappropriately suggestive images please!

Please, no cheesecake photos and their ilk. We find these types of photos repetitive, redundant, and unoriginal - plus they sexually objectify women for the male market. Not exactly the confident, positive & respectful images of women that this group strives for. Additionally, no T&A photos - which we also find redundant. Sexuality is of course, an important part of our lives, but it is not the only defining factor. This group is about showcasing the essence of SHE - womanhood and all things female: whether young or old, tall or short, skinny or fat, beautiful or just average - Images must have the female gender as the theme and focus of the photo.

Please try to stay on topic to the theme of this group. Do not post images that are abstract (ie: flowers, cats, symbolism, etc) or images that are vague as to identity of gender.
The idea is to celebrate a life of womanhood: what it means to be a woman, to be female - whether you are a daughter, a mother, a wife, a lover, a lesbian, sister, aunt, best friend, confidante, secretary, executive, president, pregnant, at work, at home... the intent is to celebrate the woman in all aspects of daily life. We are here to praise the woman in all her beauty and in all aspects, from all walks of life.
Men are most certainly welcome to post here, but please keep your photos on topic to the theme of this group.
Do not post images of explicit genital nudity. Artistic nudity is fine, but please no pornographic images, or images that can be construed as pornographic. We all know what porn is, and we all know when that line is crossed. If you aren't sure, then don't post it.
Do not post images that contain text, tags, or comments that are insulting, demeaning, negative, disrepectful, or that otherwise can be construed as such.
Images deemed as pornographic, insulting to women, or portraying women in a negative way will be deleted, and will result in the user being banned from this group.
A good rule of thumb is to post images you'd be comfortable showing your 11 year old niece.
We welcome images from all sources and mediums (not just photographs), including derivitive artwork such as paintings, sculpture, artistic renderings, etc. However, if posting images not of your own creation, we DO ask that you give credit to the source (name of artist, link to web site/artist). If we recognize copyright images stolen from another source (i.e. magazine, web site, calendar, etc) without giving credit to the source, we will remove it from the pool.
In otherwords, try to be original.
Outside links to other groups, discussion threads, news sources, or web sites are welcome also, so long as they relate to the focus and theme of this group. Please don't post links to discussion threads or web sites that have absolutely nothing to do with the subject or theme of this group.
