The Canterbury Earthquake of September 2010 and its aftermath, and the February 22nd 2011 event and others since and in between.

Why this tag? The tag eqnz emerged immediately on twitter - but it lacks a sense of location and time. There is an interesting conversation on Wikipedia about the naming of this quake - many people will remember it as Christchurch - but of course Canterbury is the region. Time will tell. The use of chc. is the Airport code for Christchurch International Airport . A hub for the area impacted by the earthquake
