04 Dec 08 - Hi, we had a clean up and removed the photos that while fungi, .. actually some were lichen and moss... but I digress, ..that while fungi, were not using insects or arthropods as a substrate. I've made it so the photos go into a queue. Some photos we'll put up if its not certain, but I'm pretty sure there are no entomopathogenic boletes or basidomycetes discovered to date.

Entomopathogenic = fungi that kill insects (and spiders...)

About Entomopathogenic (fungi)

Some fungi prey only on insects and other terrestrial invertebrates.

They can turn an animal into a vegetable!

The most well known fungi are of the genus Cordyceps that prey on caterpillars, but there are several others.

This group´s purpose is showcase the bizarre sculptures created when a fungus stops a bug in its tracks all over the world.
