About ENGLISH POINTERS
This group is for people out there who love English Pointers. This is such a beautiful breed of dog. Although most commonly used as a gun dog in the U.S., these beautiful dogs have wonderful dispositions and make teriffic family pets. Bred as hunting dogs, English Pointers have great athleticism and stamina. They can end up in rescues and shelters when they turn out to be poor hunters or when their exercise requirements are too much for their family. Of course there are champion English Pointers who work beautifully in the field everyday. This group celebrates all English Pointers!!
Please post photos of English Pointers and if possible, include a little story about each dog. Let's share our love of this special breed of dog.
This absolutely gorgeous pointer is Nevado and this photo was taken by MsChocoBlitz. He is our first English Pointer in the spotlight for 2012!!!
Nevado's mom writes this about her boy:
"Nevado was only like 4 months old when we first had him. He was very shy, we think maybe he hadn't been treated as he should have. =( After some time at home he started to be playful and very loving. He loves to attract everyone's attention and most of all, he really enjoys running along the beach. For all of you who are wondering (I'm sure your are!), Nevado is not single, hahaha, he has a wonderful girlfriend called Kimi (she's not a Pointer, but she loves him too!) =D!"
