About English Heritage Maritime Archaeology

The English Heritage Maritime pool is to encourage divers visiting sites designated under the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973 to share any photos of the site taken during their visit. There are currently 46 English sites designated that range from the remains of Bronze Age cargoes through to early twentieth century submarines.

Please remember that in order to visit these sites a license is required. More information on the designated sites and applying for a license can be found at www.english-heritage.org.uk/maritime
