walking, talking, seeing...
sometimes i'm frustrated when the talking doesn't "work" the way i want it to, or the walking doesn't feel the way it used to, but today i'm glad to even have these abilities! i'm grateful to hold my camera and capture life, even if i'm not living it to the ideals set before me in childhood.

I'm grateful for my eyes too. I had LASIK surgery earlier this year, and it went very well, allowing me to see with greater clarity than I ever could before.
I'm also thankful for all the wonderful people of Flickr who capture and share life's beauty and complexity.

I'm thankful for the sacrifice that was made to save my life! Someone willingly shed their own blood for me. He didn't have to, but he suffered so much just so I could have life and freedom!

Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. I am grateful that the Lord allows me to continue to grow and to heal from the things that have hurt me. I am grateful that I have a son who I think the world of and that I was so very blessed by him. I am grateful that others love and admire and respect me. I am grateful to those who accept me for who I am -- flaws and everything, and yet who are honest enough to help me to grow and break bad habits without belittling me or putting me down or acting as if they do not have quirks of their own. I am grateful that God has given me strength to deal with the struggles I have had to deal with -- Even though I have not felt strong MANY times, I have still managed to survive the struggles. I am grateful that there are still people who walk this earth that genuinely care about others -- people who accept responsibility for their actions, people who are honest, people who are loyal, people who are friendly...

That I have home, food, clean water, and safety, and access to things like libraries!

I find it difficult sometimes to be grateful.. Having an illness can make you bitter.. but I shall persevere! lol. I'm grateful I can still walk-even if it's painful, and grateful I can grab my camera and shoot the things I love! There are many who would give anything to take just one excruciating step!
