About Edinburgh Arts Development - EUROCITIES Competition
Congratulations Jack Brown - winner of the EUROCITIES photo competion for Scoltand with his image 'Looking North'!
Thanks to all that participated - we were delighted with the entries that were submitted, not just by the significant number and quality of the images, but also by the considered text which gave a real insight into why Edinburgh is special and unique in so many ways. ,
Competition details:
This year we teamed up with EUROCITIES and other countries across Europe to publish a new photo book, 'Your city - your view', showing how young people across Europe view their city today.
The theme of the book focuses on:
- changes in the city and the local neighbourhood which have affected those that live and work here
- an expression of the uniqueness of Edinburgh
The main idea being that we ultimately share one image with our European neighbours that captures what makes Edinburgh special to you.
The winning photo from this competition will represent Edinburgh in this book and the winning photographer will receive a copy of this book and be included in publicity to promote it.
Please note:
EUROCITIES will use the photos for purely non-commercial purposes in the following ways:
- inclusion in the 25 years publication 'your city - your view' and other EUROCITIES publications, e.g. newsletter
- presentation in public spaces in form of an exhibition (poster format), e.g. at the EUROCITIES annual conference or other EUROCITIES related events
- publication on the EUROCITIES website
The photo will always be attributed to the photographer.
