04 Dec 08 - We are now in the Holding Period for The Quiksilver Big Wave Invitational in Memory of Eddie Aikau (Dec 1st 2008 to Feb 29th 2009) And the North Shore has already seen 30-foot Plus faces in the past week with more on the way but might not be quite be big enough for the Quiksilver. (open-ocean swells need to measure a minimum of 20 feet - translating to wave face heights of more than 30 feet.

About Eddie Would Go!

aloha water lovers of the world! this group is about the spirit of a an amazing person who impacted hawaii and the global surfing community, Eddie Aikau.

please only add photos in the spirit of Eddie -- hard charging surfers, monster waves and surf, big air time, no fear, no sked \'em go get \'em. non-surf photos OK if they portray clearly the aloha spirit of Eddie Aikau.

everyday beach photos and picnic shots will be deleted.. every image must tell the viewer "Eddie Would Go!"
