As a fan of the German Record label ECM I am also a fan of their album cover designs. The idea of this group is to submit images which would grace an ECM album cover.
ECM artists include Keith Jarrett, Ralph Towner, Jan Garbarek, John Taylor, John Surman, Charles Lloyd, Nils Petter Molvaer to name a few.
It might be fun to add titles & artists to your images but this is not a requirement. Please post photographs apropriate to the group theme. If you are not familiar with the ECM record label & their artwork then check out their site & catalogue.
On your travels through flickr please invite other photographers who are producing appropriate images to contribute.
An excellent book, 'Sleeves of Desire: A Cover Story' has been published by Lars Muller Publishers (ISBN 3-906700-85-2).
More recently 'Horizon's Touched' ,a superb book about the music of ECM lavishly illustrated with photographs of the artists who appear on the label and ECM cover designs, has been published.
