About Eastern Connecticut Photo Friends
This is a group geared towards folks that are so into photography that they can't get enough of it. It is a support group as well to connect outside of flickr to be able to go together on photo shoots or out to lunch, or just find friends to meet and make. All ages are welcome. There is no theme to the group. You may post images of what you are doing. You are also encouraged to start threads to meet up with folks on the group.
I may try to start meetups for the folks on the group. We will largely stick to events and places east of Hartford, which leaves a lot of state to explore, but for outside activities we don't have to limit it just to Connecticut. There is lots of photo day trips that can be taken with each other to Rhode Island and Massachusetts as well. As time goes on we may develop a monthly meeting, but first I want to see if others are interested in a social photography group that wants to reach out to others to make friendships and just to hang out with each other and our cameras.
Two other groups that will be loosely connected to Eastern Connecticut Photo Friends are CT. Flickr Meet Up and Ct. Trails on Flickr. Both have planned outings which may be announced on this site as well.
