We bring about far-reaching change by enforcing and strengthening environmental laws on behalf of hundreds of organizations, coalitions and communities.

How We Work
In the Courts

When government agencies or private interests violate (or fail to enforce) our nation's environmental laws, Earthjustice attorneys -- who represent citizen groups, scientists, and others interested parties -- go to court to ensure that our laws are obeyed and enforced.

On the Hill

Legal victories can lead to attempts in Congress to repeal or dilute the laws we use in litigation. The Earthjustice Policy and Legislation team works to protect and strengthen federal environmental laws, and to defend vital places like the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
