About Eagle Watching

Located on the Mississippi Flyway, Alton Illinois and the Meeting of the Great Rivers National Scenic Byway are world renowned areas for sightings of American Bald Eagles and numerous other migratory birds. The eagles, which nest among the river islands and majestic river bluffs, can be seen all along the byway.

We welcome you to share your photos and discuss eagle sightings in and around the Greater Alton and Meeting of the Great Rivers Scenic Byway region.
