About Enchanted Adornments Design Competition...

To celebrate Cynthia Thornton's upcoming book, Enchanted Adornments: Creating Mixed Media Jewelry with Metal, Clay, Wire, Resin & More, the Enchanted Adornments Facebook Fan page is hosting a Design Competition!

This group is for posting pictures of your designs that incorporate mixed media jewelry techniques or Green Girl Studios products. Use your creativity and imagination to create magical pieces.

Please post ONLY pictures that relate to mixed media jewelry or contain Green Girl Studios jewelry components. We reserve the right to deny any pictures that do not follow the guidelines set forth below, without notice.

The Enchanted Adornments Design Competition is open to all jewelry-makers. Your entry must be a piece of wearable art. Jewelry items, and accessories like brooches or belt buckles are acceptable. If you have any questions about whether your idea is acceptable, please contact me before creating your entry.


Please add the tag or title EADesignCompetition to your photos. Include a short description, who created any art beads used, and a link to your blog or website, if you have one.

What is mixed media jewelry?
Mixed media jewelry is the combination of multiple media into one piece of jewelry. Often times the juxtaposition of materials and their contrast is what defines "mixed media". This includes, PMC, polymer clay, resin, wire-work, stringing, and pieces incorporating new techniques.

Do I have to use Green Girl Studios products?
No, but using Green Girl Studios products will also qualify your piece for entry. Also, if you include Green Girl Studios products in your jewelry piece, it might be selected for inclusion in special galleries or qualify you for certain categories not open to only mixed media jewelry.

How to enter: Submit a photo of a jewelry piece you have created with mixed media jewelry techniques and/or including Green Girl Studios pieces. Each unique entry that incorporates mixed media and/or Green Girl Studios will be up for consideration to win.

Your entry MUST be tagged with EADesignCompetition to be accepted into the gallery.

By entering this contest, you give permission for the images of your design to be featured in promotional material for Enchanted Adornments Facebook Fanpage, Green Girl Studios, and their affiliates. If we ever choose to display your designs on one of the sites, we will credit your name with the design.

Pieces will be judged on creativity, interesting uses of materials, originality, wearability, and craftsmanship. Judging will be led by the Green Girl Studios.
