"E-Ticket" will sound familiar to people over a certain age :) "E Ticket" was used at Disneyland in California when it first opened, designating the rides that were the most fun, the best of the best, and so of course, were worth more. It took more E Tickets to ride certain rides, so "E Ticket" has come to stand for the best of the best.

That's what our group is: E-xcellent Photos only! E-Ticket Photos. By invitation only. Photos not just of "pretty" scenes/locals/people/animals, but photos that show quality in color, composition, lighting, POV, clarity, craftsmanship. E-Ticket quality photos should meet all of these criteria.

Read our rules, and post photos that are the Best of the Best, E-Ticket quality only. Please take a look at the photos at the bottom of this page... the Administrators' choice for E-Ticket Epitome of Excellence Awards, chosen weekly; they will give you an idea of the Best of the Best, and what we're looking for.

Just to be clear, our group is not for professional photographers to advertise their services, or wedding photos. Also, we prefer photographs that are not Computer Generated... cropping, tints, frames, etc are all fine, but not compilations where bits and pieces of various photos have been put together for the final product. As beautiful as some of these may be, this group is not the place for those. We also will not even consider any photo that depicts or somehow alludes to any sort of violence toward animals or people. Also, recently I removed a photo from the group due to the language in the comments. Once again, THIS IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY GROUP. Language matters. And by the way, please don't submit photos that you have made private for family/friends only.

Members may submit two of their own E-Ticket qualtiy photos a day, without a formal invitation... we'll consider these to be an invitation from yourself :) Administrators and moderators reserve the right to judge the quality of photos submitted.

We don't insist on people commenting or even using our comment code; we prefer comments to be sincere. But for myself, I've found one of the best things about Flickr is the incredible opportunity to meet people and share a love of this world and photography with people I would never otherwise meet.... and I've met wonderful people by meeting them in their comments on my photos, and mine on theirs.

We have rules about PET PHOTOS, PHOTOS OF CHILDREN, PHOTOS OF ANY TYPE OF MOTOR VEHICLE and PHOTOS/PORTRAITS OF PEOPLE. We all take them, and we all think our photos of these subjects are great quality, because we are usually in some way emotionally attached to the subject. So for all of us, it's very hard to be objective about the quality of that sort of photo. So we decided that ALL PET PHOTOS, PHOTOS OF CHILDREN, PHOTOS OF ANY TYPE OF MOTOR VEHICLE and PHOTOS/PORTRAITS OF PEOPLE must have been invited by an administrator ONLY. Any photo with any of those as a subject has to be extraordinary to be accepted on **E Ticket**. If we find that any of these type of photos continue to be submitted repeatedly by the same person, that person, after being reminded once, will be banned from the group, due to the rules. We see so many photos every day that we just don't have time to continue to deny these photos.
