About dronfieldfootpaths
Dronfield Footpaths and Bridleways Society was formed in 1989 to save and improve local paths. We now have 140 members and run a series of of regular, all year round, guided walks.
Working with landowners and the appropriate authorities (Derbyshire County Council and North-East Derbyshire District Council) our volunteers turn out to survey, clear and repair local paths and, where appropriate, provide waymarks. Working alongside The Dronfield Rotary Walks Society, we give financial support and are active in the development and maintenance of all footpaths and bridleways in the Parish of Dronfield. When called upon, the Society’s workforce also undertakes projects in neighbouring parishes
