--My dear DRI masters, if you read rules of the group, this is NOT a place for your hdr/tonemap work. All this will be removed. --

About DRI

DRI - View this group's most interesting photos on Flickriver
DRI - Dynamic Range Increase - a technique increasing photograph dynamic range by combining several different exposures of the same scene. Also known as Digital Blending or Exposure Blending. It's usually referenced here for definition. A public group.

NO HDR/Tonemapped images here please. There are a lot of special purpose groups for that.

1 photo per day please. I believe it takes time to make quality DRI work.

It'd be more interesting if you explain you techniques briefly.

Photo not conforming to DRI criteria will be removed from the group.

The idea behind the group is to post your best quality work here made with use of DRI approach, people communication, related techniques sharing.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK 45:
It's pleasant time again to choose best recent work. This week it was difficult to choose just one work because many strong work were submitted. This week presenting:
'Star Reflection (Vertorama)' by Nazar's Collection
Star Reflection (Vertorama)
This is simply stunning work. Tones just done right - everything exposed properly!! Even in the situation to shot directly into sun. Perfect!
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful work with the group!

PHOTO OF THE WEEK 44:
This week PRESENTING:
'Seebrücke (Seabridge) - Boltenhagen # 2' by Kliefi
Seebrücke (Seabridge) - Boltenhagen # 2
This image choosen for creation of superbly tonally balanced work by using 3 dedicated exposures targeted for particular areas in the scene. This is even more precise than working with +-2EV exposures shot for failed hdr work. Add here simple but powerful composition and pastel matching colours and you see a winning image!
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful work with the group, Chris.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK 43:
This week I struggled to choose between my own photo made it to Explore #4 and others:) Okay group's first, here we go, PRESENTING:
Shipwrecked by Chris Gin
Shipwrecked
This image really shows what DRI is for - to overcome digital camera limitations and produce image the way you saw scene by your eyes. Yes this approach is lengthy, laborous and requires good knowledge of the matter and practice, but eventually rewarding!
The tones in the image are simply superb - proper exposure for every part of the scene - sky, ferries, ground. Adding there fantastic colour palette and involving composition gets this image really outstanding! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful work with the group, Chris.
