About Drawn at the National Gallery

Many people draw at the National Gallery London, either individually or in the Talk and Draw sessions that are held every Friday at 1pm. Drawing is a way of looking at a painting more closely and gaining a deeper insight into it. Artists such as Leon Kossof and Frank Auerbach have spent considerable time drawing from paintings at the National Gallery, Although these drawings are generally made primarily for the enlightenment of their creators and not intended for general display, I believe that they are of more general interest, particularly to others who draw at the gallery, and deserve to be more widely seen.

This group is a place to display any drawings that you have made at the National Gallery or, indeed, any work that you have produced as a result of being inspired by the paintings there.
