About NEWFOUNDLAND AND US

a place to hang out share pictures, share our hertitage, stories, and memories, lets sits back enjoy and have a kitchen party,

my husband and i are both born hear in western newfoundland,

although i was born in stephenville, i was never raised here, we left when i was four, , my mom, who was raised in norris point, and my dad raised in piccadilly area, raised us in a home with newfoundland tradition no matter where we lived. and i carried on the traditions with me in life, never really understanding fully, until i moved here

my husband was born and raised in black duck siding,

my husband who missed newfoundland everyday, and made me long to want to be here also, we decided out of the blue one day to give up everything and moved back home to newfoundland in december 2005,

we have never looked back since... we have a small bungalow, thats ours, and we have a beautifull view all around us, a trip to town takes us along the port au port pensula and amazes me everytime the beauty and the landscape,

for myself it was a WHOLE NEW WAY OF LIFE, we live in a small community, on the port au port pensulua and being a city girl, i learned new things everyday about newfoundland

i have experienced my first full year of seasons in 2007, always with wonder and surprise

so if you want to sit and chat, share pictures, be my guest, this is the first time i am joing flickr and not quite sure how it works yet, but i will learn as i go,
