Welcome to Domestic Canine Photography! About the Group!
this is a dog free group. this means any of your puppy/dog photos are allowed. of course with some rules along the way. this can only be domestic pets though. no wild pups/dogs, i have a group specifically made for wild canids already. this group has no limit with approval when adding photos to the group, however, there will be a limit in adding your photos. since we love puppies/dogs, we don't want to see kittens/cats. no photos of both together. i know its cute, but puppies/dogs only, hence the group name. feel free to start your own topics in discussion. i shouldn't be the only one anyway, but admins will be the ones to start contests. members however can help get ideas for those. puppies, dogs, puppies, and more dogs to be added now :D
the group is currently taking icon ideas. if you wish to show me by a discussion post, please do so and others can continue to post in that topic. just post some photos that you think would go great as our group icon. its hard to simply come up with an icon connsidering there are so many dog breeds. and more than one, would make the icon crowded. so do also think about that. we want a single dog as the icon. i have a temporary one already up, but it will have to be changed seeming the size didn't work and it is crowded.
we are starting to do contests in the group now since we have reached quite a reasonable member amount. our first contest will be dogs and water, so be sure to read up on the rules for that contest. other contests will occur throughout the period of this group to keep us active and happy. deadlines are usually set as well as the voting dates for the contests, although it does take some time to get entries. since this being a problem, the dates are sometimes extended for more entries and sharing. when voting ends and a winner is established, the photo will then be posted on the homepage under the winner's name, contest number, theme, and the link. thank you for reading, and i look forward to future and current entries :D. i hope we do make this group more active and members find it great with entering their photography. as a note to members, the homepage tends to get overcrowded, so this will become a problem as more contests end. there will be a change with winner's photos of course. after a new contest has started and ended, the last contest's photo will become a link to give more room to the next contest photo on the homepage. hope everyone understands this :D.
