cool, this look like a top secret document or something lol
interesting how they show the arm is supposed to bend, I'll have to compare to the picture to see if it really bends as much!

I found out about the extra posing possibilities a while ago when removing the arms to put a dress on Lilly. I figured I must have been slow with the discovery so never bothered talking about it lol.

hahaha I must be slower than anyone, I now remember I had seen this in a JP website a long time ago and thought '-why did this person popped her arms out like that?!'..then it happened to me randomly and I was like '-well they didn't make that right now,did they?' thinking it was just an error but reading all about how this was always meant and build to work this way and for this purpose it's all new to me,lol..XDXD

I found out about this joint by mistake when I unboxed my Yoko, her left arm joint was already popped down like in n66x's first photo. At first I thought she was broken!

Are there any drawings of the internals of the torso? I am wondering if the DDII is vulnerable to the same breakage issues as the Obitsu. Obitsu seems to be far more open to "doll hackers" than Volks is. You can buy just about anything you need to fix an Obitsu at Parabox, Ltd. I would like to know about the DDII internals so if I can't fix a breakage, at least I can know where the vulnerabilities are so I can avoid breakage.

This is an image from Volks website.

But AFAIK Volks doesn't sell internal replacement parts. If something breaks, You have to fix it by Yourself.

I've never had an internal DD part break on me. I think they're pretty sturdy.

Msgeek93, the only thing know to be careful of is the shoulder joint. On My Aoi, when I first got her I tried twisting her arms up a little too hard and now they are quite a bit more loose than they should be. I can also see where the hook at the end of the peg that slides into the bust piece is squished a little on both sides. I can try to get a photo of it if you'd like.

oh it's a good chance for me to send a warning about the waist pole that keeps the bust attached to the bottom...I've seem lots and lots of cases where it broke completely off so there is a very vulnerable piece right there...Y__Y

Mmmm before seeing these, I would sometimes force the elbow to pop out a bit to get the hands closer to the face, but thought I was doing something "wrong" so I wouldn't push it too much lol. Now seeing these I see it's perfectly meant to be lol. Thanks n66x!!

I have accidentally popped Escalayer's shoulder joint before and I thought I was on the verge of breaking her @.@ seems like I have more to learn as well. I got to try the new elbow secret joint when I get home!

So the arm can separate at the elbow also?? I guess not understanding how this joint works.

Ultimaknight, basically you just hold the elbow ball and pull it down and forward a little. If your doll is new or tight you may have to rock it from side to side a little as you pull down.

like The Doll Zoo said, pull out the joint for a few cm(in an upright straight position) and then bend the joint piece and next bent the arm up,push the join back in to make it look smoother and you're done..also like The Doll Zoo said if it gets stuck on the vinyl walls, give it a rock or use a pair of tweezers to push the vinyl back from the joint.
