About DOF Fiends
Depth of Field. A fun little technique that encompasses a lot of coolness on Flickr.
What we're mainly looking for is like-minded folks who are a little too in love with DOF, and the more shallow it is, the more wide-open your shutter is, the better.
Call it tight focus, call it Bokeh, whatever you like... but so long as there's SOMETHING in focus and there's also a nice bit out of focus, it's all good.

No artificial/computer produced/photoshop-produced DOF though. I know, fake tilt-shifting and softening the focus with your software tools may seem cool, but not so much what we're looking for. Moreso in-camera DOF decisions.
And, of course, no overtly naughty photos (we want to keep it SFW, since that's where I do most of my Flickring), no abuse of other members.

We're pretty new, so if you have any contacts that love their DOF or run across any great DOF photos, feel free to invite them by copying and pasting this code into the comments section of their photo!:
Great DOF! You're invited to join and post this to <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/922587@N24/">DOF Fiends</a>!
-----------------------
I encourage participation, though it's certainly not required. I understand how busy most folks are around here. If you want to give some love to some photo you saw here, you can simply say it how you like, but if you'd like to include a little publicity for the group getting views to photos, you can tag on the following after your comment:
Great photo - seen in <a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/922587@N24/">DOF Fiends</a>!
