What do you see in London that you think might be at risk of disappearing or worth recording?
The current Royal Academy of Arts exhibition ‘Relics of old London: Photography and the spirit of the city’ shows how, under the commission of a specially formed society, two late 19th Century photographers sought to document buildings that represented old London threatened with destruction.
We invite you to submit your own images which respond to London and its architecture. In the spirit of the exhibition, consider what you think should be captured on camera and preserved for the future. It may be a particular building or a street scene; it may represent something of our time or of the past; it can be personal or emblematic. Your photograph can be in colour or black and white.
We'd love it if you submitted a small caption in the description to your image to describe why you feel it captures the spirit of London.
Some of the images from the flickr group will be selected weekly to be projected in the Royal Academy adjacent to the Relics of old London exhibition. The images will be credited to your flickr name.
