The Woodhead Route - MS&LR

Most of the trackbed is still in situ, should this once great railway be re-built but this time with 25kv AC or should it be left to nature

As I have said, although they want to put power cables through the centre tunnel, there is no reason why the line cannot be single lined though Woodhead tunnel. I'll drink to the re-opening.

unfortuantly it is unlikly now that the 'save the woodhead tunnel' campain has failed
but i to would drink to the reopening
