About Distillery District
Pictures from the Distillery District in Toronto. The Gooderham and Worts Distillery, founded in 1832, is the largest concentration of Victorian industrial architecture in North America. The distillery itself was closed in 1990, and the buildings sat empty for more than ten years.
The area has been dramatically and successfully redeveloped in the past few years, and is now full of art galleries, restaurants, and shops. Plus, it's the home of Mill Street beer.
