About Displaced*triots
= displaced patriots
a documentary art project
Were you born and raised in one country and culture, but now established in another? I'm hoping to amass a collection of images that explores the places we now call home from the perspective of a resident outsider.
This doesn't have to be literal or obvious; often the pictures we choose to take speak volumes about our relationship to where we live.
So let's see what you see – details of everyday life, landscapes, portraits, street scenes – but also images that express your experiences as a foreigner, ex-pat, global citizen, immigrant, internationalist, or what you will.
Detailed descriptions and comments are very welcome, and please take the time to introduce yourself in the discussion: where are you from, where are you now?
In the spirit of the project, please no holiday photos; residents only please!
Posting limit is currently three a day.
PS Sorry about the unpronounceable name. But it's too late now!
***INVITATION TO GROUP:***
