About Dispersal Zones in London

In a bid to rid London’s streets of anti-social behaviour, Neighbourhood Safety Teams are designating areas of the city as Dispersal Zones.

Most people are unaware of Dispersal Zones in their own areas and often oblivious they are living in one! I’m really interested to find out what other Londoners are experiencing at a neighbourhood level.

I’m hoping to find other Londoner’s interested in helping me document these Zones. Please download a copy of my Dispersal Zone Card (DZ) and photograph in your local Dispersal Zone.

E-mail me your the name of your London Borough and ward (if known) and i'll send you details of your nearest Dispersal Zone.

Dispersal Zone Basics
•A Dispersal Order stops the gathering of groups
•A group is defined as 2 or more people
•It can be as small as a phone box or a large as an estate.
•It can be in place for up to 6 months.
•A Notice of the Dispersal Order must be displayed in the zone at all times. (Typically an A4 sheet is taped to a lamp-post – but have not seen more than 2 in one zone – so look carefully!

•You can also find copies at your local library and some at the, if you dig around enough! Go to
Met Police website and head for you borough then off to their Neighbourhood Safety teams.
