About Dinghies and Tenders

We're looking for dories, rowboats, dinghies, john boats, water taxis, small boats, wooden or otherwise, single or no engine. These are the boats that take us from ship to shore. If it's an interesting photo of a small boat with a lot of character, it belongs here.

Spectators are welcome! There are no posting or comment requirements for this group. If you have an appreciation for the photos contained herein, please feel free to join. When I started the group, I had no dinghy photos to post!

This is not designed to be an overly social group. No plans exist for a Dinghies and Tenders meet-up, no Dinghy awards or over-sized message thumbnails. Just boats and excellent photographs. Everyone is invited to participate in the discussion threads and if someone comes up with a contest, feel free. Periodically, I may hold a vote to change the group thumbnail.

Help keep the group as close to homogeneous as possible. Here are a few closely related groups you may use for your photos of boats that don't fit in here. A lot of photos may crossover but if they don't check this list:
