About Dimensions of 4

The idea of this group is to post photographs showing your best photos having to do with the number four. The photos should be high quality, imaginative and creative. The number 4 can be expressed in any way, from the complex to the simplistic, from the whimisical to the melancholic, from realistic to surreal; it can be straight from film or unrecognizably cross-processed. It isn't the medium that is important, it is the expression of four in as many ways as possible.

Some examples of the different dimensions of 4:

OBJECT:
4 different but related objects, juxtaposed in a single shot or collage, like 4 trees, 4 sea creatures
4 expressions or treatment of one object /

IN Space:
4 views from one point / eg. a view from a mountain-top or roof-top from each direction, north, south, east, and west.
4 vantage points of one object / eg, top, bottom, left and right sides


IN Time:
4 moments of one view/
eg#1, a busy street at sunrise, noon, sunset, and midnight.
eg. #2, an airplane at rest, moving, lifting off and in air.
eg #3, one scene over 4 season

In Dimension:
Express the 4th dimension with a 2 dimensional photo... length, width height and time.
The fourth dimension, can be described by "sticking together" several three-dimensional spaces in a row. So, the easiest way to do this is shooting movement over time. An athlete with running or pole vaulting and having several views of him moving in one photograph. Cars racing by with their lights on at night. Night scenes are good for this. Use your imagination.
