While I am a photographer with no artistic skills, I have found using editing software like Photoshop can turn any photo into a realistic looking painting, or an abstract one. So please post your photo's that you worked hard on. Please keep the submissions to a painterly look, not a graphic design look. This is all about digital painting and not design skills.
