About The Digital Darkroom Challenge

This group is in the vein of similar Photoshop challenge groups on Flickr, but with some very specific rules, whereby we get to process other people's original images to our own preference and style, and share them with the rest of the group.

How It Works
Post original, un-processed shots, straight out of your camera, and tag them as follows:

DDC [unique 1-word name] Original

The original shot must be as large as possible to allow for the possible quality of subsequent processing.

Members then download your original shot and process it as they see fit in Photoshop or any other digital darkroom software, then resubmit your photograph with a new title, but tagged as follows:

DDC [same unique 1-word name] Processed

Remember to make the tag identical to the original, but add 'Processed' at the end!

Rules

- You may only enter an 'Original' after you have submitted 2 'Processed' shots.

- Only 1 'Original' submission per member per week, please.

- There is no limit to how many 'Processed' submissions you make.

- You must not download and process a 'Processed' shot; only the 'Originals' please! Otherwise it's not all your own work, which is what it's all about.

- Photo Notes and descriptions of the processing you did are not compulsory, but would be really nice to know, so we can all learn something!

- Cropping and rotation is allowed.

- Minor duplication (such as so create a simple 'kaleidoscope' effect) is allowed at the administrators discretion.

- You MUST NOT add any new elements to the shot.

- If the admin determine that a submitted processed shot has broken the rules, it will be removed from the pool with a brief description as to why.
