FLARE and MY DIGISCOPE SET-UP

I am using Nikon P5100 camera and has the following adapter UR-E20. I bought this adapter originally shape like the pix on right. I modified the Len adapter by shortened it using Sharping stone and look like the pix on the left

When the Lens adapter is fixed to camera, it looks like this. The Lens adapter is shortened is just very slightly longer than the camera lens when full zoom. So that when I closed my camera to the Eyepiece, the lens will not touch the eyepiece and the oustide light is block away by the Lens adapter and resulted as the right side of the first picture. This is how I get rid of the flare.
