About Artists Pencils Competition
The search is on for an artist for a classic range of Derwent pencils – The Artists Pencils.
Derwent Artists pencils were the first colour pencil Derwent ever developed, and is still one of the most popular in the market. In 2010 Derwent will be unveiling a new tin design for Artists Pencils, and to celebrate the popularity of this quintessential drawing range, are launching a national competition in search of an image to appear on the new tins.
The traditional subject for Artists Pencils that has appeared on the front of the packs since their launch in 1938 has always been Ashness Bridge, near Keswick in the Lake District.
Keeping with tradition, the challenge for this competition is to draw Ashness Bridge with Derwent Artists Pencils. The image needs to be very eye-catching and dynamic, and needs to really show off the Artists pencils range.
Entries must be in portrait format, drawn with Derwent Artists Pencils and be at least A4 in size. Closing date is January 31st 2010.
This is a unique opportunity to get your drawing skills noticed, and your image on an iconic brand so our advice is to get your artists pencils out and get drawing!
