About Depth of field - pls hold on those macros!
Please tag: depthoffield and read on...
Because if you're looking for one of your pics, or thinking about posting one over here, do please take a quick flick through this description. And do please try to avoid macro images of flowers and other things unless they really do somehow fit the bill! And do keep it to one of each frame. That way we can all enjoy everyone's work.
This group is not actually for images about the meaning of the term "depth of field", for which see our good friends at wikipedia!
That's NOT why we're here. This group's title is intended as a play on words...
...the group is for some of those beautiful long distance photos of scenery and landscape, where layers and stripes appear in the construction of the image, a pattern created by the mountains and valleys, which makes the most of mists and wisps, perhaps with a curve of a river, the framing of a tree.
It's the impression of depth and distance seen in our fields and hills...
These are shots I love - inspired years ago by a piece of art I saw on a stall in Guildford as a teenager, which I couldn't quite afford during my schooldays, but I remember to this day.
I hope you will find these images beautiful too :-)
