About Death of the Service Station
This collection celebrates the aesthetic associated with a bygone era when fueling an automobile was a service, not a convenience.
Fueling today is about speed pass, about digging for quarters when you need air and about $3 a gallon. To make matters worse, the conflicts in the middle east combined with a growing consumer appetite for alternative fuels has yielded a trend where any remaining independently owned stations are unable to survive.
Add your images to document the death of the service station, or to inject some optimism, add some hope with images demonstrating the restoration/revival of it.
