About Yelp DC: Cherry Blossom Photo Contest!
Yelp DC Cherry Blossom Photo Contest Rules
1. You MUST be a registered Yelper. Please post the link to your Yelp profile as a comment on your photo entries. Photos without your Yelp profile link will not be considered.
2. Sign up for Flickr if you don't already have an account. It's free!
3. Join the Yelp DC: Cherry Blossom Photo Contest group! You can submit up to 5 photos.
4. The photos must be taken during the 2009 Cherry Blossom Festival. Photos from previous years will not be considered.
5. BE CREATIVE This means more than just flower shots. (And if you submit just flower shots, they better be freakin' sweet shots!) The more creative you are, the more likely we are to pick your photo.
6. The pool will open for entries at the start of the Cherry Blossom Festival on March 28. The pool will close for entries at midnight on April 12. Winners will be notified by April 15.
7. Karman L and Alicia G will be judging.
8. We will be selecting 6 photos that will go on display at Tangysweet in Dupont for the month of May.
If we choose your photo, we would like the photo to be printed as an 8x10 and matted/framed with a white acid free mat in a black wood 16x20 frame with regular glass. The work must also be wired for hanging. Delivery and return to Tangysweet is the photographer's responsibility. Detailed instructions will be provided with acceptance notification.
9. Our view on photo rights: The photographer retains the rights to their photo. If we use the photos for any reason, we will provide proper photo credits to the photographers and they will not be used for commercial purposes without permission.
10. Image Modifications: Minor digital enhancement is permitted (the basics needed to achieve realistic color balance and sharpness), but images that have been significantly modified or appear unnatural will be disqualified.
11. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask Karman or Alicia via Flickr or Yelp. This is the first contest we've ever run/moderated/judged and it's possible that we may have missed something.
