Hey folks, we're restructuring this little group here. Instead of focusing on just DCist meet-ups, we'd like to make this a place for DC area photographers to plan all kinds of events to get together.

We'll announce general meet-ups like we have been doing, but you should use this as your own photographers' social calendar, as well.

Want to go on a photowalk? Want a pal or four to go photograph an event with? Want to meet up and talk about portrait lighting or just show off that sweet new lens you bought? Or heck, want to invite your new photog friends for a happy hour or to check out the latest cafe down the street?

Just start a thread here and do it! Invite to the group all your Flickr friends that you think will want to join us for some off-Flickr photography.

Add yourself to our (currently empty) Google calendar so you can get updates as we add events.



Please limit your photos here to events you've attended through this group. And when posting an event, please include place and time, including street addresses when applicable.
