I would locate a Penn Camera shop to have mine cleaned if you do not want to send it to Canon. I think there is one in Georgetown right as you come into town.

If your sensor is really dirty you should take it somewhere to have it cleaned (sorry, can't recommend any store), but one of these comes in mighty handy for the occassional DIY cleaning.

See I heard never use forced air on the sensor.
I've used Copper Hills Sensor Cleaner.
www.copperhillimages.com/index.php
It works quite well.
and then I was told something different when I looked back at their page. Strange. Well I guess it's ok to use forced air now.

I would recommend you to do it your self. Its easy and quick.
here is a youtube video that can help you.

Before using swab i would recommend you to use a air squeeze balloon to blow away any loose dust or particles. Do this with your image sensor facing down.
When buying the swab, be sure to get the one for x1.6 sensor size.
Now if you do still feel that you would like a professional to do it. Then i would recommend Ace photo in Ashburn. They are the leading photo store in Northern VA
Good luck :)

Do it yourself. As PhotoByHE said, use the 1.6 sensor size swab from Sensor Swab and Eclipse solution. It's simple to use and works great.

if you go to ritz in georgetown, they send it to penn for it so...

I long exposure photo f/29 has shown me presence of some dust particles on my sensor. How badly do I need to get my sensor cleaned.
Also would any one recommend me Sensor swab or get it done from Canon Professional.
PS My camera is 2 years old now.
