Photos from the annual Del Close Marathon, a 3-day non-stop improv festival in New York City.

Photos from all past DCM's are welcome. You can tag your 2009 DCM photos with "dcm11" to indicate the 11th annual DCM. Please label show photos as best as you can with group name, location and date. Photos of DCM shows, backstage, the Green Room, inside tech booths, etc. are welcome.

Please try not to post too many photos of one show -- you probably don't need to put all 374 of your Reuben Williams photos in the pool. Use your best judgment. Happy posting!

The 11th Annual Del Close Marathon

Friday, August 14th through Sunday, August 16th, 2008

Del Close was the driving force behind improvisational comedy in Chicago for over 30 years influencing Bill Murray, Tina Fey, Mike Myers, John Belushi, Chris Farley and the Upright Citizens Brigade to name a few. After Del's passing in 1999, the UCB started the Del Close Marathon to celebrate their mentor and keep alive his name and teachings for future generations.

Over 150 Shows Over 1 Weekend!

From Friday afternoon August 14 to after midnight on Sunday August 16, there will be improv non-stop at the UCB Theatre. Groups from New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington DC, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Phoenix, Austin, Philadelphia, Finland, Hawaii, Baltimore, Ontario, St. Louis, Toronto, and more, will perform on one of four stages.
