About DC-9/MD-80/MD-90
The DC-9 is a short-range jetliner built by McDonnell Douglas Corporation starting in 1965. The DC-9 was stretched several times during its production life, and the later examples were named the MD-80 and MD-90 series. The DC-9/MD-80 production line at Long Beach, California was finally shut down in 2000, after over 2,100 aircraft had been built. A further derivative of the DC-9. the Boeing 717, continued at Long Beach until the last aircraft was delivered last year.
This is a group for photos of the original DC-9, MD-80, and MD-90 series. (A separate group already exists for the Boeing 717.) All relevant contributions are welcome!
