About David Cook 2010 Photobook (benefitting 2011 RFH)

Last year, about 150 David Cook fans got together to pool photos taken during the 2009 Declaration Tour. Those pictures were taken and placed in a blurb photobook and purchased after donations were made to the Race For hope in Washington DC. Fans donated to their own fundraising pages, David's personal page, or to my personal page. On my page alone, donations exceeded $3300 to benefit brain cancer research. So much good can come from this money. That is why, I figured, tour or no tour, it needed to be done again for the 2011 Race for Hope.

Between the one-off shows, the MWK shows, the charity events, and personal appearances, we can put together another book to raise money. If you have pictures from any events from last year's New Year's Eve shows through the end of 2010 that you would like to submit for consideration, please submit them to this group.

If you are interested in being a part of this, please read and adhere to everything I post here. It will make my life much, much easier.

If you post pictures here, you may get published in the book. By posting, you are in turn, giving your permission for pictures to be cropped to fit the page and to be printed in the book. Also, for printing purposes, photos may be edited for contrast or exposure issues before printing. They will not be manipulated in any other way until I ask for permission.

For optimum printing results, please, please, please make the original file size available to me. Last year I would see a picture perfect for full sized printing, but the size was too small to make it happen.

If you do not have a pro account and run out of storage space on your free account, you can either set up another flickr account or email the pictures to me with all of your information to declarationcharityproject@yahoo.com. I will upload them to my acount with your credit info in the description.

The photos are considered a donation. Any profit made on the sale of the books will get donated to the 2011 Race For Hope. If you would like more information about the race and other ways you can donate or help, please visit: www.braintumorcommunity.org/site/PageServer?pagename=RFH_...

Every person who gets published, will be credited for their photos in the back of the book by name and picture. Please email the picture of yourself (or something to represent yourself) to declarationcharityproject@yahoo.com. This will be the thumbnail sized photo that will be printed with your photo credit list. I would like everyone to be pictured this year, so please, if you submit pictures, send your personal photo ASAP.

When you send your photos to the group, please include the name you want to use in the credits either in the description or as a comment. Anyone who doesn't provide their name will be listed as their flickr user name.

Also, either in the description or comments, please list the event, location, venue, date and any other pertinent information about where the photo was taken.

I'm hoping to have this book available soon after the new year, depending on whether or not David books any appearances before the end of the year. The book will be based on blurb's pricing, so the price point will not be known until the book is finished and the number of pages is determined. I will be m,aking the standard size once more, and if there is interest, I will make it available in both hard back and paperback.

Last year, the donations were made on the honor system, and although it worked out in the end, this year, there will be a change. Blurb has introduced "Blurb for Good," (http://www.blurb.com/blurbforgood) and to make it easier on everyone involved, I will be utilizing this program. I will simply place a $15 (hardback) and $10 (paperback) markup on the books autromatically and that "profit" will go to RFH.
