Inspired by QR Codes in the wild, this is a place to upload pictures of data matrix codes.
The group is intended for pictures of 'real-world' data matrix codes (aka Semacodes™) in their natural environment, ideally, as used by a manufacturer or an advertiser on products, posters, etc. No QR codes; please; they have their own groups, here, here and here ;).
What's that? What is a data matrix code, you ask? Well, it's like a smaller version of the QR code, (although they can come in different shapes and sizes). Think of it as a two-dimensional barcode.
Data matrix codes seem to be more abundant than QR codes (in the UK at least), appearing on parts, consumables, goods, etc. The more glamorous QR code gets invited to product launches, events, things like that, whilst the humble data matrix code stays behind and just takes care of business, probably doing the stocktaking or something. You might even say that the data matrix code is Howard Moon to the QR code's Vince Noir.
