About The Dashwood Tea Bubble Society
I invite you all, Man or Woman, to share your romance of a quintessential ideal, images that conjure up your perfect dreamy world of timeless elegance, be it modern or historic, be it British (as in my own homeland) or from your own 'bubble' of the world.
WHY DASHWOOD?
Because the Society is founded by 'Susannah Dashwood'.
WHY TEA?
Because tea represents the quintessential culture of elegance, refinement, etiquette and all things 'Truly Scrumptious'.
WHY BUBBLE?
Because this Society represents a fantasy world. This world is for all the 'Idealists' out there. For those who secretly fantasise that modern life were still as real as our romanticised ideals of the great novels past, such as Jane Austen's 'Sense and Sensibility' and that we could still really skip around in long frilly petticoats, Pantaloons and Pelisse. That we could spend our evenings swinging up to the sky on a wooden swing adorned with English climbing roses just like 'Truly Scrumptious'!
