About dash.ed

This is a storage unit for the art zine known as ___.ed. The objective of this zine is to apply individual artistic vision when given a monthly prompt, and apply it to the medium of your choosing. All prompts will be a verb of some sort and interpretation is left completely to the artist.

The main intention for this zine is to be a tangible magazine found throughout the country. For a trial period, we are going to make the zine internet-based for the first few prompts. In order to better understand the direction we are going, and developing a following in the meantime.

The first prompted zine will start production at the end of August 2010. But until then, all those wishing to participate can think about and work on their submissions for the first zine. Any type of medium is acceptable for submission. This means that anything ranging from photography to sculpture is completely appropriate.The verb chosen is "MELT". have fun with this and let your imagination run wild.
