About DAPA GROUP
DAPA GROUP was founded in 2002 as a creative digital photography group for the more experienced amateur photographer.
As a group, we capture a wide variety of subject matter and styles. From landscape and natural history studies to portrait and figure work, from still life to abstract, and from documentary photography to travel.
Membership to this group is open to all photographers, irrespective of geographical location. The aim of which is to provide an ever increasing pool of motivating images, not only for our own members to derive inspiration from, but for others too.
Creative Digital Photography is all about lighting, mood and composition, the three key ingredients for creating a good image. By looking at the work of others, a photographer quickly develops a keen eye and eventually his or her own style.
Critiquing the work of other members isn’t of the uppermost importance within this group.
In fact I think you’ll find that the standard of photography to which this group subscribes shouldn’t warrant much activity from those quarters. However, if you do feel the need to critique the work of others, please do so in a polite and respectful manner.
You can however, show your appreciation of a fellow member’s image by rewarding it with a
“ Dapa Group - Merit Award”.
This award should only be given to images that you deem, “Inspirational”.
To administer the award, simply copy and paste the following code to the comment box of the recipient’s image. It would also be a good idea to add the following tag: dapagroupmeritaward. By tagging your images in this way makes it easier to keep track on your awards and the images, which have received them.

If your image receives 5 “Merit Awards”, please consider adding it to the Dapa Group – Hall of Fame.
From time to time we stumble across the work of other photographers, whose images inspire and motivate us. If you know of any photographers, who you think would like to join us here at Dapa Group, why not send them an invitation?
