About Dandy Crossing
Male Elegance Today:
Contemporary portraits of distinguished chaps in finery as well as those gentlemen who simply stand out stylishly in crowd. Preference is placed on self portraits and those of friends who would like to step out a bit in their day to day elegance.
Many Forms:
Note that Dandies are not "Fops" and need not indulge a greedy narcissism nor feel obliged to "put on airs". Sophistication comes in many forms, including fabulous threads and a polish perhaps more patinated than perfect.
Artist:
The Dandy is often less concerned with being "well dressed" or "turned out" in favor of toying with conventions of style to unique and personal effect. Examples might include the young gentleman with a penchant for silken cravats to accent a "punk" ensemble or the decidedly rugged metal shop fellow in well-worn Cartwrights who maintains an dashing handlebar moustache.
Eccentricity:
Dandies neither need be a picture of flawless couture (though fastidiousness is a noble enough hallmark). Rather, the eccentric tinkerer down the road partial to a collection of rare chapeaux or the unceremonious tatterdemalion in elaborate hand-sewn suits are each following a path in personal panache unlike any other.
