"Look through a camera. What do you see? Shapes or stories, pictures or plot? This is a 2-part practical session in which you'll use photography to explore storytelling through still images. Working with a top photojournalist you'll experiment with a variety of photographic styles to find out what it means to tell a tale without words. How to hook a viewer and direct their attention. What to reveal and when to hide, how to suggest, intrigue and beguile and shock. How to assess an image and how to recognise the right shot when you see it. They say a picture is worth a thousand words - this is your chance to prove it."
