What is Picture This?

Picture This is a photo-campaign based on documenting the collective steps towards a better world, community & backyard. Change isn't overnight, but accountability will provide the proof to show that the efforts of individual count.

You can be a part of history as we assemble a picture of hope and empowerment .

2. Document you taking action using a camera [NOTE: you can also submit photos of these actions if you've done them previously]

3. Be creative with it

4. Empower others, invite your friends to join this group!

5. Make an impact by sending the photos to us so we can share your choices with the world

What happens with the photos and zip codes?

Some of the photos are available for viewing at BruteLabs.org now and more will be in a creative and inspirational way in the near future. The zip code data will be used to map out the contributions to change made worldwide.

ACTION ITEMS

1. Use public transportation for a day or test drive a hybrid car.
2. Install an energy-saving light bulb.
3. Try another radio station for a week.
4. Get/Renew a Library Card.
5. Plant a tree or vegetable garden.
6. Be aware of current events: Read the News, via newspaper or news websites, all week.
7. Register to vote.
8. Get a TerraPass @ terrapass.com
9. Donate 25 articles of clothing/household items to Goodwill.
10. Recycle $5 worth of cans, bottles, newspaper and donate to a charity.
11. Write a blog entry about something you are passionate or concerned about.
12. Volunteer a day to the cause of your choice.
13. Put a brick in the tank of your toilet; save water.
14. Have yourself marked as an organ donor on your driver's license.
15. Add a 'Picture This' link (thedru.com/picturethis) to 3 of your online communities.
(ie Blog/AIM/MySpace/Friendster/Facebook)
16. Take a picture of something that pisses you off.
