I'm trying to come up with ideas for using the index cards when we are finished with the 3 month challenge - on display or binding or somehow. Let's brainstorm!

I've seen some great index card storage ideas. (hPDA's are usually made up of index cards and I'm a planner geek.)

This might come in more handy during the actual process than as a finished holder but here are some links.

I was thinking I might bind mine with one of those brass brads or a binder ring. I should probably decide before I do many more so I don't annihilate my work with binding. (ie lose corners, edges, etc.)

i plan on putting them in a scrapbook, probably journaling about them. i can always use those little corners which will allow me to take them in and out as needed. i saw one person using a spiral bound index card book and thought that was nifty.

If my kids participate, they will most likely either put theirs into smash/collage journals or adhere them to posterboard to hand on the wall.
If they can be attached around the edges somehow they could be hung as a curtain or divider from the ceiling.
There are recipe books with pocket pages for recipe cards this size. The recipe books/binders can always be altered.
A rolodex sized for 3x5 would be a cool desktop display.

They could be stitched together with fabric as the binder, into a paper quilt!

I'm planning to make a cover for them and then bind them together with a spiral binding, like a notebook. We'll see if all of them will fit in one book or if I make montly volumes, hehe, that would be cool.

There are also these plastic boxes especially for index cards that you can store them in, but I prefer to keep them together as a book. All things book formed is a favorite!

Love this idea of working on index cards!

I've already hole punched all my cards, but reinforcers on both sides of all said holes (took forever, but hey...) , pre-gesso'd the ones for June and have put them all on binder rings. Unfortunately the rings I had were too small for all the cards, so I've separated the three months and then clipped those rings together again so they're still together if that makes sense.

The ones I have are already bound with a ring, however I know that after doing a few dozen they won't even be close to fitting around that ring anymore. I am thinking after I am finished I might run a string through that hole and put them up like a banner around my art room?

I'd like to keep all mine bound together but make color copies of my favorites to turn into cards for my friends.

Maybe I'll put them in my classroom as inspiration cards? I really don't know yet! But hey, I've got the whole summer to think about it ;)

I am going to use mine in my art journal, and altered books, I am going to make some of them into "Word Art" and use them for journaling prompts. Plus I am a /group Leader of an art journaling group over at "The Art Colony" NING group, and I may utilize some of them there...

...mine are currently being stored in the index card box file they came in. I'd like to something more exciting with them: maybe a loose ring book, or something... still time to ponder... :)

I'm giving them to my Mom as a Christmas present. It frustrates her to no end that I swap my arts and crafts with strangers and that she won't ever get to hold it herself. I'll be working on cards through December so she'll have 180 cards to wander through.
